Carter Vickers is a Los Angeles-based Scenic Designer with a love for storytelling through bold design and collaboration. He earned his B.A. in Theatre Arts and Film, Television, and Media Studies from Loyola Marymount University, and has been lucky enough to have contributed on over 40 theatrical productions since starting college.
He has collaborated with a range of companies including Team Starkid, Antaeus Theater, IAMA Theatre, Art of Acting Studio, Theatricum Botanicum, New Village Arts, Chance Theater, Boston Court Pasadena, The Wallis, and The Muny.
Carter’s recent design credits include Puffs by Matt Cox, Red Demon by Hideki Noda, The Laramie Project by Moisés Kaufman, In the Next Room by Sarah Ruhl, and How to Defend Yourself by Liliana Padilla. He also recently designed props for The Mountaintop by Katori Hall and Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. In addition to his work in theatre, he has served as a Production Designer on several independent short and student thesis films.
Carter also frequently works as the Assistant Scenic Designer to both Christopher Scott Murillo and Colin Lawrence, collaborating on projects together across Los Angeles and San Diego.
